How to set up the Slack connector (step by step)
There's a required order here — the connector won't appear until the app is installed:
- Install Claude in Slack. An admin adds the Claude app from Slack's App Marketplace and approves it for the organization. (Individual users then connect their account and can @Claude in Slack.)
- An Owner enables the connector. In Claude, go to Organization settings → Connectors and enable the Slack connector.
- Connect it as a user. Go to Customize → Connectors, find Slack, and click Connect.
To disconnect later, go to claude.ai/customize/connectors, find Slack, and select Disconnect.
