Free tools
Practical tools for business owners and teams using Claude: find out what it connects to, write better prompts, build skills, and decide which plan and version you need. Everything runs in your browser: no sign-up, and nothing you enter is saved.
Which tool solves which problem
“I don’t know which version of Claude to get.”
Claude comes as a web app, a desktop app for Mac, Windows, and Linux, mobile apps, a Chrome extension, and Claude Code for developers, and the names overlap. Which Claude do I need? asks what you want to do, where you work, and whether you have a paid plan, then tells you exactly which version to use and where to get it. It also explains what happened to Cowork after Anthropic merged it into regular Claude in September 2026.
“Is it worth paying for?”
The Is Claude worth it? calculator compares the value of the time Claude could save you with the cost of each plan. You enter your own hourly value, the tasks that eat your week, and a conservative guess at how much time Claude could save on each. It shows how few minutes a week Claude needs to save to cover the plan, which is usually the most useful number for deciding.
“Can Claude connect to the apps I already use?”
The Claude connector checker searches every connector in Claude’s directory, more than 900 of them, and recognizes apps that come through another connector, such as Outlook through Microsoft 365 or Google Sheets through Google Drive. If your app isn’t there, it tells you what to do instead, like using the Zapier connector or adding a custom connector.
“Claude’s answers are too generic.”
Generic answers almost always mean missing context. The Claude prompt builder walks you through the details that matter for ten common business tasks, from follow-up emails and review replies to proposals, SOPs, and business plan sections. Every prompt includes a guardrail that tells Claude to flag missing information instead of inventing it.
“I keep explaining the same thing to Claude.”
That’s what skills are for. The Claude skill builder turns a task you repeat into a skill file Claude uses automatically, checks it against the official rules, and gives you a zip to upload. No code or file editing required.
“Claude Code won’t install.”
The Claude Code error lookup explains the install and sign-in errors people hit most, in plain English, and links straight to the matching fix in Anthropic’s official troubleshooting guide.
Built for business owners, not developers
Most Claude tools online are made for programmers. These are made for the people this site serves: owners, operators, office managers, and small teams who want Claude to take real work off their plate without learning to code. Every tool uses plain language, explains its answers, and links to the guide that goes deeper.
The one exception is the Claude Code error lookup, which exists because many people land on Claude Code by accident while looking for the regular Claude app. It explains errors without asking you to run anything, and points non-developers back to the version they probably wanted.
A good order to use them in
- Pick your version with Which Claude do I need?, so you install the right thing the first time.
- Pick your plan with the Is Claude worth it? calculator. Most people should start with Pro and adjust after a few weeks.
- Connect your tools. Check which of your apps have connectors, starting with email, calendar, and files.
- Get good results. Use the prompt builder for your first few real tasks to see what good context looks like.
- Make it stick. Turn the prompts you reuse into skills with the skill builder, so Claude does those tasks your way without being reminded.
Why everything runs in your browser
None of these tools sends what you type to a server, uses an AI model, or saves your entries. The calculators do their math on your device, the builders assemble text and files on your device, and the lookups search a list that loads with the page. That means they’re fast, they work without an account, and you can safely type in real business details.
It also means the information inside them is a snapshot. Plan prices and the connector directory were last checked on the date shown on each page; Anthropic changes both from time to time, so confirm important details on Anthropic’s own pages before you buy or rely on something.
New to Claude?
Start with Which Claude do I need? to pick the right version, then the Is Claude worth it? calculator to choose a plan. When you’re ready to learn the workflows, the free Claude Cowork course walks through real tasks built for owners and operators.
Frequently asked questions
Are these Claude tools really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no trial, and no limit. They run entirely in your browser, so there is nothing for us to charge for and nothing you enter is stored.
Are these tools made by Anthropic?
No. They are independent tools from the Free Claude Cowork Course, built to help business owners use Claude well. Prices, connector lists, and help links come from Anthropic’s public pages, and each tool shows when its information was last checked.
Do these tools use AI?
No. They use fixed formulas, templates, and lists, which keeps them fast, free, and private. The prompt and skill builders produce text for you to use in Claude; the AI part happens when you paste it into Claude yourself.
How often is the information updated?
We recheck plan prices and the connector directory periodically and show the date on each tool. Anthropic changes plans and adds connectors often, so for anything important, confirm on Anthropic’s own pages too.
