Data Literacy
Module 2: AI as Your Data Analyst
2.5 Your Reusable Data Setup

2.5 Your Reusable Data Setup

Time: ~25 minutes

What You'll Learn

  • How to identify your recurring data tasks (the reports you do every week or month)
  • Building a step-by-step AI workflow for a real recurring report
  • Creating reusable prompts that produce consistent results
  • Setting up a process you can hand off or scale

Key Concepts

The real payoff of this course isn't doing one analysis -- it's having a repeatable process for the data work you do over and over.

Most people have at least one recurring data task:

  • A weekly performance report
  • A monthly client update
  • A quarterly budget review
  • A regular pipeline or funnel analysis

This lesson helps you take one of those tasks and build a complete, reusable workflow:

  1. Map the process -- What data comes in? What output goes out? Who reads it?
  2. Build the prompt sequence -- A series of AI prompts that take you from raw data to finished deliverable
  3. Test and refine -- Run the workflow on sample data and fix the gaps
  4. Document it -- Create a simple playbook so you (or someone else) can run it next time in minutes

Claude will guide you through this using either the course's sample data or -- if you're ready -- your own real data from work.

By the end, you'll have a workflow that turns what used to be hours of spreadsheet wrangling into a 15-minute AI-assisted process.
